The Glenfarne Community Development Trust is happy to announce the return of theGlenfarne-Kiltyclogher Heritage Tour taking place the first Saturday of the month from June 3 to October 2017 or by appointment for groups by contacting (00353) 71 9856831 / (00353)85 8634852 / info@glenfarnecommunity.com



The guided tour will bring you through Glenfarne’s and Kiltyclogher’s historic past ending with a trip down memory lane with the Big Band era. The stops will include:




The old Glenfarne Railway Station and a scenic drive through the former Tottenham Estate stopping at the beautiful Lough MacNean shoreline. 











The Kiltyclogher Heritage Centre, showcasing a visual history of the life and times of Seán MacDiarmada.





Seán MacDiarmada’s home place, beautifully preserved to show the conditions of everyday life in rural Ireland in the 19th century.



The tour ends with the Showband Exhibit where you can browse the Showband Archive, view a DVD presentation on the history of the Rainbow and enjoy a complimentary cup of tea or coffee
